Lona Downs has always had a passion for people and property. After the loss of her eldest son in Afghanistan in 2009, she realized that life was too short, and it should be spent pursuing one’s dreams. She left her Registered Nursing Hospice job to take her career to the next level by combining two of her greatest passions – real estate and caring for others.

She now works and lives with her family in the beautiful Emerald Coast, where they enjoy many different activities available in the area, including boating in the Intercoastal Waterway, biking and cruising through Scenic Highway 30A, and soaking in the relaxing views of the coastline.

Throughout the past several years, Lona has diligently built a personal investment portfolio which at present holds long-term rentals across three states. In order for her to increase her knowledge and sharpen her skills, she went through rigorous training to get her Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) and Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designations. Her career in real estate has made her an expert in dealing with a wide range of clientele, from individuals and families to corporations and the military. As a local resident, Lona specializes in communities located in Walton and Okaloosa Counties in Florida, especially waterfront homes.

She takes pride in being both a property owner and a licensed realtor, and is very passionate about helping others find their dream home, whether it’s a primary or a secondary home.
