The city is also home to over 150 charter fishing boats; an indication of just how “lucky” its waters are. Those looking to charter a fishing boat have tons of options. Usually, a private charter for about six people can cost around $175 per hour. Some boats charge an additional 10% for extra people, and there are several boats that only allow up to six people. There are also party boats, which can accommodate around 20 to 40 guests. Party boats are a great option due to their affordability – admission can cost as little as $30 for five hours and $65 for an entire day. SWOOP I & II Deep Sea Fishing Charters are each 65-ft. long party fishing boats. These custom built boats cruise comfortably at 20 knots and are approved for up to 45 passengers. The ample deck space accommodates 40 fishing stations, and has an air-conditioned cabin. They’re very popular with Destin tourists because of the laid-back atmosphere onboard.
